David Villa is a Spanish international who plays as a striker for Barcelona and a Spanish national football team. He is often used as a winger. He started his professional career with Sporting Gijon. After two years he moved to Real Zaragoza and made his La Liga debut. He then moved to Valencia for €12 million. During his career in Valencia he won Copa del Rey in 2007/08 season. With transfer fee of €40 million he moved to Barcelona in 2010. There he won his first La Liga and UEFA titles.
He made his international debut in 2005. He scored three goals in 2006 and was the highest scorer in Euro 2008. He was awarded with a silver boot in 2010 world cup. He is the only Spanish footballer to reach 50 international goals till the date. Villa remembers his dad when talking about football because his dad was the one to inspire and encourage him to play football. His dad would always be there to throw ball for him and he would kick the ball. His family supports and encouragement was always with him whenever he was in training.
