Cristiano Ronaldo his a Portugese international who plays as a winger for Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid. He was born in Madeira, Portugal in 1985. Ronaldo’s transfer to Real Madrid is the highest paid transfer ever in the history of football. This transfer made him the expensive player in the globe and is paid £11 million per year. Ronaldo played for Andorinha as a youth player for two years and moved to Nacional and in 1997 he moved to Sporting CP. During a match against Manchester United, Ronaldo’s talent caught attention of Manchester United’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Sir Alex signed 18 year old Cristiano in 2003.

Ronaldo first scored his international goal against Greece and helped the team reach final. During his career in the club, he helped club win league titles. On may 15, 2011 Ronaldo became the highest goal (51 goals) scorer in season in the history of Real Madrid. Ronaldo broke the record of most goals scored in a season in La Liga with 40 goals. He also broke Zarra’s record of most goals per minute with goal scored every 70.7 minutes. In honor,he was awarded with a European Gold shoe. He is a first player in the world to win a trophy in two different championship leagues.
